This blog is intended to be for telecommunications data networking professionals to gain and share knowledge. General ideas will be shared with all. Vendor specific areas may be added in the future.

About Me: I started my career with a large Tier 1 carrier in the US. I originally worked in outside plant provisioning, assigning copper pairs for various services. I learned data networking and joined the carrier’s data networking division. I then became a subject matter expert in X.25, Frame Relay, ATM, ADSL, DS1, DS3 & SONET. After burning out doing Tier 2 & 3 Technical Support, I left the Tier 1 carrier and now work for a telecommunications equipment manufacturer. I build the stuff used by my old employer. I have traveled the world designing and deploying telecommunications equipment.
